Regulatory background of the study is the CLP Regulation of the European Union (EU-1272/2008) that may lead to changes in labelling of many consumer products in 2015.

MAGAM II is based on MAGAM I, a retrospective study of all German speaking PC, performed in 2009.

MAGAM II is supported by the International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products (A.I.S.E.), Brussels and by Industrieverband Körperpflege- und Waschmittel e.V. (IKW), Fankfurt am Main.
